OVERVIEW
The performing arts are an important aspect of a child’s growth and development.
The use of art, drama, dance and music to express ourselves builds confidence and engages a child’s brain, body and emotions in different ways. These disciplines teach our students to understand and celebrate differences, think rather than memorize, and learn resilience, perseverance and collaboration.

ARTS & MUSIC
Event Highlight
Simba’s Journey
2022
Primary students took part in the annual show: ‘Simba’s Journey’ based on the Lion King. Our secondary students performed ‘The start of something new’ based on High School Musical.
As well as the traditional roles of actor, musician, vocalist, students were able to use their artistic skills in creating set designs and props, whilst others were part of the technical team or journalists presenting a comprehensive review from start to finish and the final show.
Within these school experiences we encourage students to be part of the whole journey and to experience the many different features that work together to culminate in a school production.

The Annual Art & Music Festival
Students also have the opportunity to join the annual Art and Music Festival where they can exhibit their work, perform, take part in workshops and competitions.
Students are encouraged to join external workshops and competitions to extend their experience. Whether you are in Reception or taking your IGCSEs there will always be the opportunity to be part of something great.
Music Scholarship
Scholarships are available for students who are gifted in music and are playing to a high standard.
Applications can be submitted in December for the next academic year and we encourage students of all disciplines to apply.
