We have put together some frequently asked questions.
State-of the-Art learning facilities, including well-resourced classrooms. Computer and Science labs, library and Art studio. We have a Futsal court, Basketball, Volleyball and Badminton Court.
No, we do not have boarding facilities at this moment.
There is a full and varied CCA programme offered which will vary according to demand. Activities will normally be held after normal school hours and last for approximately 1 hour after school. The range of CCAs may vary each term.
The school also offers paid CCA, these are programmes that are outsourced but are done in school e.g., Taekwondo and Robotics.
We offer education for children from a diverse range of nationalities throughout the world.
The meal choice will be Western, Asian and Vegetarian. All meals are Halal as required in Malaysia
Yes, uniform is compulsory for all students. Students are required to wear School PE Kit during sports activities and Physical Education Lessons.
The school does not provide transport on a daily basis however we do have al list of private transporters which you may wish to refer and can obtain from our front office. Transport is provided for students who are participating in sports or going for excursions arranged by the school. You will be notified for consent when these activities are on and whether there will be additional costs.
Currently there are no bus services available for students enrolled in after school activities and transportation will have to be organized privately.
School starts at 7.45am for all student and ends at different times of the day depending on the Year the student is in. Please refer to our brochure for the timings for your child’s age group.
The school does not tolerate bullying and any issues relating to bullying will be investigated thoroughly and the appropriate action taken. We believe in supporting the victim and challenging the bully to change by confronting their behaviors.
Cambridge International curriculum.
The School provides some Learning Support for selected learners. This support may be given within the mainstream class, or, on occasion, learners may be withdrawn for specialist lessons.
All applicants are assessed to see how the school is able to effectively cater for learners needs.
We aim to maintain 18 students per class in Reception. From Year 1 to Year 11 our maximum class size will be around 25 students.
We offer Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin from Reception onwards. Bahasa Malaysia is compulsory for all Malaysian students. French is introduced in Year 5 where students would need to choose to take either Mandarin or French. Once the choice is made the student will have to take that language up until Year 9.
They are all trained and experienced local and foreign teachers who possess a bachelor’s degree at minimum and among them some have masters as well. We do have specialist teachers in various subjects such as physical education, performing arts, music, visual arts and foreign languages.
Whilst the communication channel between teacher and parent is via emails or communication books, for matters that are urgent it is advisable to call the school office immediately. Turnaround times for emails are 24 hours. Should the enquiry need to be escalated to the level of coordinator or Head of school a holding reply is given to parents with a timescale.
Students will be assessed by the school as to the level of support they may need with English and could receive in class or extra support outside of the classroom e.g. in Co-Curricular Time.
The school believes that all teachers should be free to teach and all students are free to learn. The most effective teaching and learning takes place in a well-managed environment, one that is calm, happy and safe for all students. Behaviour is fundamentally a matter of raising student self-esteem and developing respect for others including adults. All adults in the community have a responsibility to foster relationships that promote this. The behaviour policy focuses on positive behaviour, which supports learning and promotes, celebrates and rewards achievement.
Students can proceed do their pre-University course in any of the local colleges or go overseas as the IGCSE is internationally recognized.

Cambridge IGCSE is widely recognized by higher education institutions and employers around the world as evidence of academic achievement. Many universities require a combination of Cambridge International ‘A’ Levels and Cambridge IGCSEs to meet their entry requirements.
Yes, on a case to case basis at the school’s discretion and subject to availability of space. However, we would always encourage students to join at the beginning of the Academic Year in January to minimize the disruption to their learning.
Baseline assessment together with a teacher is required for students applying into Reception Year. Students applying for Year 1 to 11 will be required to complete an assessment test to ensure appropriate class placement (such as a specific level of a foreign language or a specific level of mathematics).
Every effort is made to place students in the appropriate grade based on chronological age. Applicants coming from countries/schools where the academic calendar differs from Beaconhouse Sri Inai International School which follows the January to November calendar, may find themselves remaining in their existing grade level due to this calendar difference.
No, school uniform and books are additional cost.
Sibling discounts are given on the tuition fee only and applies as follows:
2nd , 3rd , 4th and 5th enrolled child is at 5%, 10%, 15% and 20% discount respectively. More than 5 children the 20% discount is applicable (please refer to our fee schedule). Applicable for siblings concurrently studying at any of our Beaconhouse Schools in an academic year. Sibling discount will be withdrawn as soon as there is only one sibling left with Beaconhouse.
It is advisable to apply early to secure a place for your child at the School. For availability of places, please contact the Admissions Team.
School fees are reviewed annually. This is to ensure that we maintain the high level of education and services that we provide. Any change we will notify parents.
The academic year at Sri Inai runs from the beginning of January to near the end of November. The school term follows the Malaysian school semesters.
Beaconhouse does not process student visas for new students but will be able to connect parents with a Student Agent to facilitate the application process.
