Fundraising for Refugee Children

Aligning with the Beaconhouse Learner Profile - Empathetic, one of our year 4 students came up with a proposal to raise money to buy resources for the Refugee children her mother teaches.

She and her friends set up a stall for two days this week selling handmade bracelets, notebooks, bookmarks and stickers. This was a huge success and we look forward to welcoming a representative from the Siamsin Learning Centre to tell us more about their work and to receive the donation.

Our primary students put in considerable effort in managing the stall, using mental maths and practising their customer service skills! The outcome was truly rewarding!
